Viper Case Study
The Brief
Our friends in the Scottish Countryside Rangers Association needed a way to communicate with their members (they have a lovely website courtesy of Viper) but they also wanted an automated system for membership renewals and reminders.
The Solution
Not just another e-newsletter then. We designed and built an e-newsletter system that filled content from their website news articles that would then be sent to the database. Standard stuff for an e-newsletter. But, with this database we built in the function to automatically send out reminders when renewal is due and, cleverly, remind them once a month if they haven’t renewed. After a given time they get classified as non-members if they don’t renew.
All of this is run by their existing content management system. Only one log-in to remember.
The Result
Definitely, not just another e-newsletter. By embracing the database as more than just a list of email addresses we saved the client lots of time. Time that can be spent on positive messages being sent out on a regular basis.
