Coordination for Kingswood Foundation
Viper Case Study
The Brief
Kingswood Foundation are a Bristol based youth arts charity. They inspire young people to excel through the arts, unlocking their potential whatever their background. They have a wide variety of projects each with it's own communication needs. They also have a major new venue opening in the centre of Bristol soon.
Juggling the wide variety of communication needs without a clear plan for the future is difficult. Viper was asked to help the marketing officer with this situation.
The Solution
Through our marketing planning process we helped prioritize the audiences for the next 18 months to meet the needs of the organisation. The step-by-step process ensures you can focus on easy decisions knowing that the grand plan will emerge. Decisions are made easy thanks to our facilitation techniques.
These audience profiles, placed next to the business needs of the organisation produce a simple clear plan. It's a simple equation; Need+Audience+Message=Plan. The plan has a simple timeframe on it showing how the focus will change. This is important as other 'influencers' need to see how all target audiences will be addressed.
The Result
Planning your marketing and communications at a strategic level are crucial when you're in the centre. You can't afford to get bogged down by the detail. The process revealed and convinced the team how the marketing officer needed to be the 'coordinator' of communications, ensuring others do the doing, producing the content and putting it out there.
Viper produced a simple diagram explaining how the marketing plan would be delivered. Plans are never delivered in isolation, the diagram helped the marketing officer explain the way-ahead to the trustees and others, building consensus along the way.
Our plan has helped the Kingswood Foundation coordinate their communication.
