Bristol Student Houses Focus on Their Tenants
Viper Case Study
The Brief
The original Bristol Student Houses website (designed by Viper years ago) was looking tired and out of date. Despite still attracting lots of enquiries, due mostly to strong search engine optimisation (SEO) and the longevity of its presence, it was time to align the property portfolio with the new online world.
The Solution
The first step in the process was to create a clear feed of traffic into the website and for this we rely on three elements:
Search Engine Optimisation
Working together they will create a flow of appropriate target students into the website.
SEO is the placing of key words and phrases into both the content on the page and inside the page code so that the search engines can easily and quickly identify that this website is designed for students in Bristol seeking high quality accommodation.
Facebook is where almost all of the target students reside online. Sharing and organising their social and study lives a Facebook presence will provide a simple and logical means whereby friends can discuss the available accommodation and agree on where they'd like to live.
Twitter is the glue that ties together the other two elements allowing Bristol Student Houses to drip feed great offers, refurbishments and news and events in and around Bristol. This regular communication will position Bristol Student Houses as a caring and relevant organisation who have their finger on the pulse of the local student scene.
Each of these elements feeds into the website itself which is a property selector allowing for quick and easy access to property specifications, prices and availability.
The new website is designed to work on desktops, laptops and mobile devices like iPads, ensuring that the students can access and share property information wherever they are.
The Result
The new website which is at the heart of the development and growth of the business can be visited at www.bristolstudenthouses.com
From there you can access their Twitter feed and Facebook page where over time you'll be able to read about just how popular the properties are with the students who live in them.
"The clear, stylish new website isn't what we'd imagined at the start of the process, but looks exactly right. We'll be able to keep it bang up-to-date because it's so easy to update entries through CMS. And thanks for introducing us gently to Facebook and Twitter, a whole scary new language for us, but essential for our future marketing! Enquiries for next year are going well already." - Jane Strong, Bristol Student Houses
