A busy week for ViperMusic

The end of last week was a bit of a busy one for ViperMusic. Thursday evening we were on the judging panel for UWE's Live Music Society Battle of the Bands competition at Thekla which was great fun and we signed the winning band (Maps and Legends) with a six-month management contract. Then Friday night was our Haiti Fundraiser Gig at The Core in Hartcliffe.

The Core in Hartcliffe is a fantastic modern, multi-complex venue which was built five years ago. It includes a large room with a stage, an indoor climbing wall and gymnasium/workshop room for activiites. The facilities are brilliant for the community in Hartcliffe.

Mark Venus (ViperMusic management team) chose this venue to help give something back to the community and to allow the younger ones to come along and support a good cause. They also got to see four great bands that they normally wouldn't be able to as they play in over 18s venues. Mark Venus kicked off the evening by introducing ViperMusic and performing a number of songs including Hotel California with his fabulous band, The Venus Suite. Rob Lear followed playing various songs from his current album as did Rob Phillips from his widely acclaimed debut album. Then last but not least, Miss Skarlet finished the night off with a selection of songs from their exciting debut album This Beautiful Lie.

It was a great night full of superb music for all ages and we all managed to raise some money for Haiti with the artists donating a pound to the charity for every album sold. Well done to everyone involved and thanks to everyone who came along to show their support!
