Viper Training

When Nature Met Social Media Pt I

Viper Case Study

The Brief

Avon Wildlife Trust is a dynamic team of volunteers, reserve wardens and nature specialists who collectively protect and serve designated sites of natural importance across the Bristol region.

The Trust had been dabbling, quite successfully, in social media and digital marketing for a number of months but had recognised that with limited time and budget and importantly a diverse and dispersed team they needed to coordinate their online activity for best effect.

The Solution

Viper was commissioned to run two half day training workshops to:

Bring the whole team up to speed with the importance of strategic communications within a big picture plan that everyone understood

Ensure everyone knew the part they have to play to deliver best value

Learn what is relevant and what's not in the fast changing world of social media and digital marketing

The Result

Following two highly productive back to back half day sessions the whole team now understands what each of them can do to make a small individual contribution to what collectively is a large output.

The Trust is now confident that the decision makers have filtered out what digital tools and activity is less effective to enable the team to focus on what works best.

Going forward all digital communications be it newsletters, social media or blogging contributes to agreed aims and objectives to help deliver the Trust's business plan.
