Barton Camp Wild Walk
Viper Case Study
The Brief
Barton Camp had an outline nature trail written by a local ecologist. They asked us to take this and bring it to life. Barton Camp wanted us to produce everything that was needed so that a teacher or helper could pick up the big box for the nature trail and know everything they needed was inside. We also had to assume that the teacher had no wildlife knowledge.
The Solution
We re-wrote the nature trail so it was easy to take groups of children around at anytime of the year. A teachers pack was produced that had all the answers! This pack would be used over and over again, we needed a material that would be robust and stand up to continued use. The children's activity pack used a simple map to guide them to each activity with funny, no-nonsense language to engage a wide range of children. All the supporting material was sourced and provided in water proof containers.
The Result
Two large plastic boxes, branded with Barton Camp Wild Walk stickers. Containers inside for all the materials to help each activity. Self contained and self sufficient. And teachers packs on water-proof 'nevertear' paper that should survive all conditions. Robust and bomb proof. Lots of happy children getting their hands and knees dirty learning about wildlife.
