Viper's Jim Hardcastle delivered a rural marketing 'masterclass' to the Exmoor Tourism Partnership Conference on the 23rd November at Exford. Organised in association with Exmoor National Park, tourism providers from across the area gathered to learn new ideas and share experiences.
Jim's presentation is available to see here, it focussed on why rural marketing is different, the key challenges for destination marketing and how to become digitally extrovert.
Philip Evans, the Head of Strategy for Visit England, delivered the keynote speech to provide the national context. Tourism in the South West has levelled off over the last year, due to the rise in petrol prices, but local rural attractions are doing well.
