Fernhill Farm

Viper Case Study

The Brief

Andy and Jen Wear are gradually restoring Fernhill Farm high on the Mendip plateau. The focus of their work has been to rebuild a highly unusual semi-circular barn. They want the barn to be a unique place to stay and visit but they had no tools to communicate their vision.

The Solution

We produced a brand of rich, earthy colours to reflect their modern environmentally friendly farm; where the latest biofuel technology sits comfortably with traditional breeds. Icons depict the range of experiences available and lend themselves well to being used on products. The website had to be functional, robust and clearly represent the different aspects of Andy and Jen's work. A year after the barn was opened we helped the team re-visit their communications to ensure regular and repeat bookings. Visitors seeking adventure are now being targeted.

The Result

Fernhill Farm is a wonderful showcase of environmentally friendly farming that's integrated with the community. The brand, website and importantly the communication planning has allowed Andy, Jen and the team to promote the barn successfully to the right people. Visit the Fernhill Farm website here. The farm has also become the spiritual home of Active Mendip
