The Brief
The Hawk and Owl Trust needed a handy guide to help people identify birds of prey. The Trust has a great track record for getting people involved in looking for these amazing birds in their areas. But would you know the silhouette of a Peregrine compared to a Sparrowhawk?
The Solution
Combining beautiful water-colour paintings of the birds, prepared by a Hawk & Owl Trust member, with the idea of a pocket guide Viper designed the Spotters Guide.
With 5 folds in this small guide we were very careful with the paper choice to ensure the concertina effect would work while still having a leaflet that folds flat.
We also ensured that their was minimal waste produced in the printing process along with our usual choice of recycled paper and vegetable based inks.
The Result
The Spotters Guide is a great addition to the valuable work of the Trust. A complex design with careful thought of the final product has produced a quick and simple reference guide.
The water-colour images gave us a great palette to work from and ensured the paintings took centre stage.
