Social Media and your Neighbourhood’s Management

Social Media and your Neighbourhood’s Management

Bristol City Council’s Neighbourhood Management Service understand they need to use social media as another way of supporting their important role.

Viper is working with representatives from all the neighbourhoods in a three stage programme to get them using social media in a strategic and effective manner.

The three stages are a facilitated planning session for all involved to explore aims and objectives, a day long training session and then 1:1 support and mentoring.

This is the first time a service with many teams is taking such a strategic approach for moving into social media while placing the staff at the heart of the plan. There is wide acceptance from all involved, supported from the central communications team, that the best social media always comes from the individuals. Our aim is to give the staff the confidence and justification to be online within a framework.
